What this covers

This policy applies to the Levering Books website and the Levering Books mobile app (Android). It explains how we process personal data under the GDPR (EU) and Belgian law.

Data we process

  • Account data: name, email, password (hashed), language preference.
  • Company workspace data you enter: invoices, purchases, receipts, customers, suppliers, bank classification, vehicle shifts, helper settlements, and related files you upload.
  • Technical data: IP address, device/app identifiers for login tokens, basic logs needed to secure and operate the service.
  • Optional integrations you connect (for example bank or government filing tools), limited to what those connections need.

Why we process it

  • To provide the bookkeeping service you request (contract).
  • To secure accounts, prevent abuse, and keep the service running (legitimate interest / contract).
  • To meet legal obligations for accounting and VAT records where we act as processor for your company data, and for our own company records where applicable.

Roles

For your company books, your organisation is typically the data controller. RAZATEC BV provides the platform as a processor and follows your instructions within the product. For our own customer accounts, billing, and security logs, RAZATEC BV is the controller.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We use hosting and infrastructure providers in the EU (or with appropriate safeguards) to run the service. We may share data if required by law, or with parties you explicitly connect (bank, Peppol, government portals).

Retention

Account login data is kept while your account is active. After you delete your account, login access is removed. Company bookkeeping records may be retained as required by Belgian accounting and tax law (often several years). You should export anything you need before deleting your account.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection where applicable. You can delete your Levering Books account in the mobile app or on the website (Profile → Delete account). More detail: https://books.the-levering.com/account-deletion

You may also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données).

Children

Levering Books is intended for business users. It is not directed at children under 16.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
